I used to brew, 8 cups at a time, but I only drank about half that much…

Now I can get one cup at a time and that saves me a lot of money…

gamer review

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

I feel like I wasted my money, the movie was well just not as good as it could have been, the lead actor, gerard, I think he was ok, but the plot and the direction of the movie was well, not so hot…  They should have spent more money in the screen play than the fireworks.

Well just finished the review of the movie gamer, hmmm, I guess the first thought I had was it was sort of schizophrenic, you know really strange in a weird sort of way.   the same old get even revenge half baked sort of thing, sort of a soylent green meets jumping jack flash, but with none of the awards, was it worth watching yes, but I think a good deal of the best of this film probably ended up on the floor of the editing room.

This is the sort of thing that allegedly happens when you do far too many drugs and try to direct and or edit the movie in the dark, oh well, it was interesting, but in a sick sort of way.

The movie bloger.com  k yep I agree…

Over all I felt like I needed a shower after watching this movie.

Sort of a waste of my alleged time, would have been better off, taking a nap instead, but hey if your sitting around with nothing at all to do and would like to see a stupid movie, I say go for it.

You could end up watching a worse movie like nick cages last movie, totally worthless.

But hey can your really get them all right…  Of course not…

gamer, just downright could have been better, the lead guy was great had it not been for him, I would have just laughed, all the way through the movie, with the director obviously and allegedly high, using the phychopath from that dextor show, and then trying to show that part of his character in another movie just plain dumb.’

Glen Beck

Is Glenn Beck right or wrong? You decide…

Amazing stuff and even more if you read the book, funny how many people comment on books they have never read, is this guy really this crazy or is he the real deal, we know that he likes to make money, and hey is that wrong? No not at all, but you know, if he really believes in what he says in his books, I would love to see something real develop, like a lawsuit, challenging the constitutionality, and not just a challenge on TV but a real challenge by a lawyer in court, now that would mean a lot more to me than a few comments on TV.

Never pay full price unless you want to

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

These days, with the value of the dollar going down and the economy still in flux making the money you have count is so very important.  Just recently I purchased a really nice antique that started out at a price of $175.00  I ended up paying much less, just because of how I approached the sale in the first place, if you would like to have some buying tips then stick around.

When you walk into a place, never go right to the thing you want, always look around first, even perhaps pickup something else or ask a question about something else first.

Socialize, talk even if its just about the weather or in one good example, talk about the economy empathize.

Then when you are ready take a look at what you really want but approach it as if you could care less about it, examine it, then put it down and move on to something else.

Later you can come back if you liked the way it looked and you saw no defects and it is actually what you want, then you can ask about the price, sometimes you can make a casual remark about “is that the best you can do on that price”, be prepared to walk away, sellers are good at reading body language, if you tense up at a price point that is lower they will see it and then know that you are already sold.  So when you are negotiating the price you can put it down and say something like let me think about that and go and look around at some other things, perhaps even find another smaller item you may want and get a price on it and put it on the counter.

Then later, you can go back to the first item and pick it up and mumble just enough to hear, “hmmm I just dont know”, at this point they will come out with a bottom dollar price or not, sometimes they will not come down any more, the important thing is that you can negotiate without making  them mad in fact if you do it right you can get a really great deal and they will thank you for shopping.

Yes, you heard right, I purchased a very nice item, at more than a 50 percent discount and the shop clerk thanked me so much for coming by and invited me back to shop again.

Now that is the fine art of negotiating a better price and it is fun too.

Saving Stuff: How to Care for and Preserve Your Collectibles, Heirlooms, and Other Prized Possessions

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

This is the definitive book on preserving by the man who has overseen the Smithsonian’s preservation of everything from the papers of our founding fathers to the Fonz’s leather jacket.

This is an interesting book that anyone who collects as either a hobby or as a passion needs to have a look at because condition is the main value when determining the worth of an item be it an antique or just a collectable what makes it worth the money is its condition.
