Reading is not only fun but it can be better than any movie, why?  Well it has to do with How do you read, is it like an adventure, in your head?

Do the characters become like old friends?

Reading to me is like a movie, inside my head, after reading for a few minuets, I forget that I am actually reading a book and it becomes this movie that is playing in my mind, is it like that for you?   Scientific studies suggest that it can be like this for readers, however it is either something that you have or you have not.

I do wonder thought if it is something that can be learned or is this something you are born with.

I hope that it can be learned, because I would love to be able to share this ability with everyone.

I have at times, read a book and in some ways could not distinguish it from a movie, which may sound strange to the tourist reader, however, to the constant reader, reading a good book can be like visiting with a good friend over a particularity good cup of coffee, reading about the textures, the smell of the coffee, sitting in a back yard, in the morning and sharing conversation.

Reading can be like this, and in fact I rather suspect that is is like this for perhaps 40 percent of readers, that read more than 10 books a year…
