Independance day 2010
We celebrate our Independence, from those that would bind our hands in the darkness.
We celebrate our Independence from those that would enslave us.
We celebrate our Independence from those that would Punish us.
We celebrate our Heroes that have over the many years, gave their life’s blood to secure our freedom.
July 4th.
As we approach a celebration, there are apparently some in this country that do not share our sense of pride in what made America, and should I say, what makes America great.
Our founding fathers, Creating one of them most enduring documents in history, the Declaration of Independence.
Sadly though there are some in this nation that are not respectful of our nations heritage, Our heritage.
The word American has become a dirty word, as unlikely as that might sound, it appears to be true in some places, in this great nation, we have to ask, why?
To be more precise, if you do not like the United States, why are you here?
here is a news story that may make you sad, but it is important to know that in education, we have to understand what these people who claim to be teachers are trying to teach our children.
We have a responsibility to recognize, when our way of life is being threatened by what could only be evil men and women.
It is hard to understand why some people want to censor and limit the same freedom they have to give an opinion, or speak, free speech we call it, freedom loving Americans call it that, but apparently, it has a different meaning to some people.
Free speech means just that, you are free to speak your opinion but that does not mean that you have the right to force your views on everyone else, that is oppression.
When one group or person decides to force everyone else to do or live life only the way they decide that is wrong no matter how you look at it it is wrong.
This great nation was founded because our fore fathers, refused to bow down and be subject to tyranny.
Men fought, men died, sons gave their lives, and many more since that time have given their blood in order that we may have liberty.
Liberty, to do what we wish, even if some people do not agree with it.
However, this does not allow others to force their views on everyone else, as in this most recent issue of a school that refuses to obey the law because they do not like the pledge of allegiance.
If you cannot pledge your allegiance, to the flag and America, can I ask you why your here?
If you do not believe in freedom and you do not believe in America why not go to some other nation and let them give you the same freedom you have here?
Oh, I forgot there is no other place where you can do that, so you know what, until you find that place where you can speak your mind without having to go to jail, then why do you try to force the rest of the country to endure your strange behavior?
If you dont like it, Get out.
It is really that simple, Get out.
We are Free because our fathers fought and died to give us the opportunity to enjoy the freedom they had, and there are men right now that are giving their lives, to defend our country against all enemy’s, foreign and domestic.
Now that is what freedom is all about, so if you don’t like to pledge allegiance to the flag, then I feel sorry for you.
But I will not allow you to take my right to pledge allegiance to the flag away from me, that is evil and don’t expect anyone else to feel that way either, this is America.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands:
one Nation under God, indivisible,
With Liberty and Justice for all.
